The Export Development Authority has
organized the first Egyptian Trade Week in Tanzania from September 10 to 14, with the participation of
14 Egyptian companies.
The
expo comes within the ministry’s efforts to increase trade with Africa and open
new markets for Egyptian
exports across the Dark Continent, especially that Tanzania is one Egypt’s
target markets.
On
the sidelines, bilateral meetings between Egyptian and Tanzanian companies are
being held to boost mutual trade and investments.
According
to official figures, Egypt’s exports to Tanzania grew 21% last year to reach $35.5 million, with an
Egyptian trade surplus of $30.9 million.
