The first cotton auction for the 2022-2023
season has closed today in Fayoum in the presence of the cotton trading
follow-up committee.
The auction, in which 14 companies
participated, sold a total amount of 2,600 qintars of cotton.
The new system has been in place
for four years. It aims to regulate cotton trading and ensure farmers get the
best prices for their crops through bidding.
