Egypt will host meetings of the
Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Growth higher committee in
Cairo on July 23-25, which will be chaired by the industry ministers of Egypt,
UAE and Jordan.
The executive committee will meet
on the first two days, with the participation of delegations from the three signatory
countries, and will submit its report on the initiative to the higher
committee.
The meetings will explore various
projects of common interest, mainly in grain and animal production, processed
food, fertilizers, packaging, alternative medicines, in addition to textiles,
silica production, and aluminum smelting using renewable energy.
Signed in late May, the partnership
aims to reinforce food and pharmaceutical security as well as increase intra-cooperation
in the fields of industry, investment, agriculture, fertilizers, textiles,
minerals and petrochemicals.
