Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil arrived today in Buenos Aires, Argentina, leading a high-level delegation to participate in the WTO's 11th Ministerial Meeting, to be held from December 10 to 13.
"The meetings come at a critical time, especially with intensive talks held over the past months ending in deadlock over pending issues," Kabil said.
In addition to the Doha Development Agenda, negotiations will address several key topics, including trade in services, e-commerce, agriculture, as well as new rules to discipline fish subsidies that are contributing to a global over-fishing crisis.
