Minister
of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has met with Lebanese Minister of
Agriculture Abbas Al Hajj Hassan and his accompanying delegation, where they discussed
means to overcome the challenges facing the movement of agricultural products
between the two countries.
“Egypt
is keen to raise bilateral ties with Lebanon to distinct levels that would contribute
to boosting economic growth in both nations,” Gamea said.
The government,
she added, is deeply committed to supporting the Lebanese people amid the
crises they are going through, by building stronger partnerships between the
private sectors in the two countries that would increase bilateral trade and investments.
Hassan,
for his part, noted that the Egyptian market is a major destination for
Lebanese exports, especially agricultural products, pointing to the possibility
of establishing joint projects, which would boost the confidence of international
financial institutions in the Lebanese economy.
