Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has met with Anas Saeed Al Otaiba, director- general of the Emirates Defense Companies Council, and his accompanying delegation, where they explored cooperation opportunities between Egypt and the UAE during the next period.

The meeting discussed building industrial partnerships between Egyptian and Emirati companies to cover their local market needs and export to Europe and Africa, benefiting from Egypt’s strategic location and its broad range of trade agreements with the world’s major countries and economic blocs.

The government, she noted, provides a series of incentive packages for companies operating in the Egyptian market to create a business-friendly environment.

Al-Otaiba, for his part, stressed that Egypt is a distinguished industrial and investment destination, noting that the Council will organize a virtual conference on industrial investment, with the participation of a large number of Emirati companies to introduce them to the advantages of the Egyptian market and its various investment incentives.
