Egypt-Kazakh trade amounted to $97.7 million in 2019, Gamea says.

“Egypt and Kazakhstan have always enjoyed distinguished
political relations and close historical ties,” Minister of Trade and Industry
Nevine Gamea said in a keynote speech delivered by Assistant Minister Ibrahin
al-Sigini on her behalf, at the Egyptian-Kazakh Business Forum held in Sharm
al-Sheikh.
She highlighted the pivotal role of business communities in both
countries in translating the commercial and investment opportunities available into
real cooperation projects that benefit the Egyptian and Kazakh economies.
Gamea also stressed the need to do more effort to increase bilateral
trade, which amounted to $97.7 million in 2019.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almas Aidarov and a large number of Egyptian and Kazakh
companies; and organized by the ministries of trade, foreign affairs, international
cooperation, the South Sinai Governorate, and the General Union of Egyptian
Chambers of Commerce in coordination with the investment committee at the
Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, joint stock company "Kazakh Invest", and
the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
