Tebbin Institute for
Metallurgical Studies (TIMS) started its activities in
November 1968 as a scientific establishment for
continuous engineering education, training, research and
industrial consultation. Under the Presidential Decree
no. 1330/ 1975, issued on 31 December 1975, TIMS was
established as an independent entity affiliated to the
Ministry of Industry and Technological Development.
TIMS is managed by a board of directors and combines 18
specialized scientists. It is supplied by a modern
library and specialized laboratories.
In order to meet the industrial needs, TIMS has modified
its activities to cover the new requirements of the
industrial organizations.
It is noteworthy that TIMS has been accredited ISO 9002
(AJA00/2640) on 29/09/2000.
The current Director of TIMS is Dr. Attia Saad Eldin .
TIMS is considered as an active member in the following
organizations:
- Egyptian Energy Services Business Association (EESBA)
/Egypt.
- International Academy of Ecology, Man and Nature
Protection Sciences (IAEMNPS) /Russia
