present its vision for development in Africa, and assert African presence on the international agenda.

summit, in which 24 Japanese companies will take part, to explore potential
areas of mutual cooperation in Egypt as well as on the Dark Continent.
pointed out that Egypt-Japan trade grew 30.5% in 2018, to reach $1.26 billion,
up from $969 million a year earlier; noting that Japan ranks 31 among the top investors
in Egypt with total investments worth $420 million in some 106 projects.
