The forum aims to further deepen economic cooperation between Egypt and Kuwait, shedding the light on the latest legal and economic reforms carried out in both countries.

Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar headed to Kuwait to participate in the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Cooperation Forum, held in Kuwait under the patronage and attendance of Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah.
Dubbed “Brothers Partners,” the forum aims to further deepen economic cooperation between Egypt and Kuwait, shedding the light on the latest legal and economic reforms carried out in both countries, as well as the business opportunities available in their respective markets.
“Egypt is keen on taking the mutual economic relations with Kuwait to new levels of cooperation,” Nassar said at the opening ceremony.
He noted that the GCC country is Egypt’s third top trade partner, right after UAE and Saudi Arabia; with bilateral trade hitting $1.74 billion in 2017, of which non-oil goods make up $363 million.
In terms of investment, Nassar pointed out that Kuwait ranks fourth among the largest foreign investors in the Egyptian market with 1227 joint projects operating in the fields of tourism, industry, finance, properties, communications, IT and agricultural investment.
